Genesis
Mangalmay Institute of Management Studies (MIMS), commenced its academic life in 2007 with offer of 2 year Full time PGDM programme approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
The Institute has a pool of highly qualified, experienced full time faculty who are sound academicians and experienced functional specialists. It also draws in corporate managers and proven academicians as its Visiting and Guest faculty from IIMS, MDI, FMS & IMT Ghaziabad. The students at MIMS learn the latest and modern management concepts, imparted additionally with sensitized socio economic realities of the environment. A blend of traditional ethos with contemporary advancements in management is the main thrust of the Institute.
Managerial Grooming
To assist students to fit in the global corporate culture, the institute lays special emphasis on personality grooming through presentations, public speaking, mock interviews and industry interactions. This helps the students to develop capacity for analysis and judgment ability to relate to managerial problems and draw upon their own resources for better understanding and meaningful action. Students therefore are groomed to join the industry not as a mere job earner, but to influence its practices, and in the long run become an active participant in reshaping the nation's destiny. To facilitate the process, the institute provides for a mentoring programme and also organizes a range of activities through out the year under its various cells and clubs.
Career Counseling
Career counseling is an integrated part of personality development. It aims to provide professional & objective advice and information service to all students to smoothen their entry to the corporate world. It offers confidential support to students in any matter that causes concern such as anxiety, stress, etc. About 15 students get attached to each faculty member who acts as their mentor and counselor throughout the duration of the programme.
Clubs
The students of the Institute have set up eight clubs to encourage Debates & Quizzes as well as dissemination of new knowledge in the specialized areas of their interest. These clubs known as the 'Dramatics' club, 'Debate & Quiz' club, 'Cultural' club, 'Calligraphy' Club, 'Marketing' club, 'HR' club, 'Finance' Club, 'IT' club encourage students to have a hands on experience on how events are organized besides furthering their knowledge base.
Sports cell
Sport implies many positive attributes simultaneously; along with health it shows stamina and fair play attitude among students, so MIMS campus takes great care of this aspect by encouraging young talents to participate in both indoor and outdoor sports activities.
Communication Lab
Communication Lab is aesthetically designed to give conducive environment for training students in Basic English language and to develop their soft skills by well trained faculty hired exclusively for this purpose.
