M.Sc. (Biotechnology)

Educating biotechnology proficient individuals is essential for understanding the opportunities and challenges we face in the 21st century, as the fruit and perils of biotechnology continue to have a growing prominence in our lives.

With already established modern laboratory, library and faculty from reputed institutes and industries, MIMT prepares students to enter various fields of biotechnology with ample employment opportunities in healthcare, agriculture, environmental engineering, genetic engineering, molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry and bioinformatics etc.

M.Sc. (Biotechnology) is a two years degree programme affiliated to Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut with a curriculum that provides ample theoretical and practical knowledge. It also prepares students to enter dry and wet research in various fields of biotechnology like Molecular biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetic engineering, Bioinformatics etc.

Eligibility for M.Sc. (Biotechnology)
Proscpective candidate should have passed B.Sc. examination in biotechnology/ botany /zoology/ life sciences/ microbiology/ biochemistry with minimum 45% marks.

Admission Procedure

For Admissions to M.Sc. (Biotechnology) course the Institute also conducts MNAT (National Level Open Entrance Examination) in the month of May/June every year. Candidates are advised to contact the admission office for further details.

Fee Structure

B.Sc. (Biotechnology) Programme

Eligibility for B.Sc. Biotechnology
Prospective candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from a recognized Board with min. 45% marks and Biology / Life Science/Mathematics as a subject.
