Introduction to B.A. B.Ed. Program
B.A. B.Ed. is a four year integrated programme which aims at integrating general studies in arts and professional studies in education. This programme is essentially a timesaving dual-degree programme that enables a student to earn a Bachelors degree in Arts (B.A.) discipline as well as a Bachelors degree in Education (B.Ed.). Since a B.Ed. degree is a compulsory requirement for working as a teacher, students who are pre-determined to pursue the teaching profession after graduation often choose a dual degree to save time. Simply said, on successful completion of this 4-year dual degree course, two bachelor degrees are earned instead of one.

It is planned to equip student-teachers with the basic knowledge and skills of humanities and education. Such knowledge and skills would help teachers to teach in the 21st century classroom of upper primary and secondary school students and address issues concerning their development as global citizens.
It provides a wide knowledge base for becoming an elementary and secondary school teacher. This four year program is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and Affiliated to CCSU, Meerut.
