About the role:
At ANZ we are always striving to do better for our customers, we are looking for people who focus on supporting our customers through the assessments process for 3 major products at the bank.
- You will be working for the retail lending department of the bank that concentrates on improving the financial wellbeing of customers, and keep customers at the heart of everything we do.
- You will be expected to underwrite loans for Australian Home Buyers, Credit cards and Personal Loans.
- Interact directly with the customers, assessors, lenders & branch network in Australia (hence we are looking for Talent that can articulate & communicate effectively via emails or telephonic conversations when required as a part of the assessment process).
- This role demands an approval authority, hence the talent should be strong in analytical & problem solving ability
- Also be quick in learning and interpreting the banks lending & regulatory policies
Experience or formal qualifications in banking aren’t required to be great in this role, but you will need to have a good commercial acumen and enjoy working with numbers. This will help you get the most out of our training program that teaches you everything you need to know about credit assessment. But the learning and development doesn’t stop there. You’ll have on-going training opportunities to advance your assessment and business skills, to potentially grow into leadership roles within the assessment team or to move across to other areas of the bank. Thorough in interpretation and application of lending/credit policies, mortgage insurance guidelines, security valuations, credit history, etc, to understand our customers credit worthiness by assessing customers financials.

Carrying impressive interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with our Australian
frontline/leading lenders/customers.
