What Are the Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech 2026?
1. Qualifications
- Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board.
- Students must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), which is compulsory for most branches to pursue B.Tech.
2. Marks Obtained
- Most colleges prefer a minimum of 45% to 50% marks in the Class 12 board examination.
- Top institutions and colleges require higher marks along with entrance exam scores for admission to B.Tech courses.
3. Age Limit
- In general, there is no upper age limit for pursuing B.Tech or getting admission through JEE Main.
4. Acceptance of Entrance Exams (Optional)
- At the national level, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and BITSAT are accepted by colleges and institutions across India.
